Serena and Charles were married on a beautiful fall day at the Peabody Essex Museum in Salem, MA. We got to take photos in the amazing gardens and the light exhibit by Anila Quayyum Agha called "All The Flowers Are For Me." It's the exhibit in the featured photo at the top of the post.
The exhibit features a large lazer cut steel cube with a single lightbulb in the center that creates all the amazing shadows on the walls. I especially loved how the light shone through Serena's veil.
The ceremony was held in the East India Marine Hall and the reception was held in the main atrium.
Serena wore a white dress for the ceremony, a red Chinese brocade dress for the reception, and a red jumpsuit for dancing!
Infusing their fun personality into a classic tradition, instead of doing a bouquet toss, Serena and Charles threw a plush cat down from the balcony. It was great fun and a lot safer than throwing a bouquet of roses from such a height!
