Bonnie and Kevin were married at Arnold Arboretum on a beautiful sunny day! They played in a band together for years, so they are super cool and stylish. As their guests arrived I kept marveling at all the cool outfits. Musicians know how to dress up! Bonnie and Kevin decided to have an intimate, low-key wedding. The day started off with everyone meeting up at Article 24 restaurant where the reception would be held later.
From there everyone loaded up on the bus to head to Arnold Arboretum!
The ceremony was held in an open courtyard.
Kevin and Bonnie had each guest bring a stone to put in a jar as part of their ceremony. They made sure to incorporate their friends and family in the ceremony and it was so heartwarming!
They had moments of Earth (stones), air (deep breaths), water (drinking- gotta stay hydrated on a hot day), and fire (candles) to ground the ceremony and add a spiritual element.
Kevin got a little teary-eyed during the ceremony so Bonnie wiped them away. It was so sweet!
These photos were taken immediately after the ceremony when Bonnie and Kevin took a moment to themselves to rejoice! They were candid and that makes me love them even more!
After the ceremony we did some family portraits.
Then it was time for portraits of Bonnie and Kevin while the rest of the party went back to Article 24 for cocktail hour!
Then we all Ubered back to the restaurant for dinner and dancing!
We did one last set of portraits and then I was done. The party went on into the wee hours, I'm sure!
Bonnie and Kevin were such a kind, cool couple and I loved getting to spend the day with them and capture their love!
